What happens between a signal and an order?

Follow the components we configure, from written strategy rules to broker events and alerts.

Entry and exit conditions beside a test timeline

A concrete setup with a reviewable handover

We configure a strategy workspace around rules supplied by the client, connect a supported broker account, run historical tests and set position or exposure controls. A typical initial setup takes one to three weeks after the rules and connection requirements are agreed. The handover includes documented settings, test assumptions, a connection checklist and an explanation of the monitoring view. Broker approval, data access and live execution conditions depend on third parties.

The work, component by component

Strategy automation

We translate your written entry, exit and sizing rules into configurable conditions, then walk through examples with you. Ambiguous instructions are resolved before testing. The tool can apply the agreed rules; it does not decide which market thesis you should follow or when to change it.

Backtesting

Historical runs record the selected period, available data and configured assumptions. We help you inspect trades and edge cases, including how a change to a rule alters the test. Historical behaviour is evidence about that dataset, not a forecast of live performance.

Connections and controls

We check the supported broker connection, map order events and configure available limits and alerts. You retain control of account permissions and review any live setting. Broker outages, rejected orders and market gaps remain possible even when monitoring is active.

When this setup makes sense

The service fits someone who can describe a repeatable strategy and wants its implementation tested and monitored. It is less suitable if you need a strategy chosen for you, personal investment advice or a prediction about future prices. Before configuration, we ask for example rules, the market and broker you intend to use, and the limits you want to discuss. If a required broker feature is unavailable, we explain the constraint rather than treating it as a minor detail.

What to prepare for a setup discussion

A short written outline is enough to identify questions before configuration begins.

  • Your intended market and trading hours
  • Entry and exit rules in plain language
  • An example of a trade you would reject
  • Your preferred supported broker
  • Position limits you want to review
  • The alerts you would need to see

A small setup, followed step by step

Consider a user with one rules-based strategy and an existing broker account. We first clarify the signal conditions and record exceptions, then configure a test version and review its historical event log together. After checking connection permissions and agreed limits, we document the live settings for the user's approval. The work produces a configuration record and a monitoring view; it does not establish that the strategy will perform similarly in a different market period.

Discuss the rules before the build

Send an outline of your strategy and broker so we can identify the relevant setup questions.
